How to Apply for a Student Visa

Their are two steps to follow to be granted a student visa to study in Australia.

Take the first step by completing an enrolment form on our College website and providing us with a copy of your passport. This first step will reserve you a place in our College. The second step will require you to submit a visa application form to the Australian Immigration Department for a visa to stay in Australia.

After you submit your online enrolment form you wil receive an email from us that will contain a personal log-in and password, you now have your own account with Bridge....congratulations!!

Through your personal account we can now communicate with each other. We can give you advice on any further information we may need to complete your enrolment..... and you can ask us more questions. Don't worry, we can help you through this process.

When you have completed the College enrolment process, the College will upload an E-CoE (Electronic-Confirmation of Enrolment), into your personal account. This CoE will have an enrolment number, you will need to enter this number when you fill out your visa application form.

The second step will require you to apply for a student visa. You can apply for your visa on-line or by filling out the 157 Form available on the Immigration website  – we advise you to visit : this government website

You may also visit a Migration Agent or Lawyer for further assistance. Bridge can refer you to an agent who can help you.

• Visa Application form 157A
• $535 (from 1st January 2012)
• Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) or Letter of Offer (must have CRICOS course code)
• Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
• Medical Examination and Chest X-ray. Your application will be assessed FASTER if you have already undergone medicals when you lodge the application. (Medical and X-ray results are usually only valid for 12 months).
• Evidence of meeting English requirement (for assessment level 3 & 4)
• Evidence of sufficient funds
