Marketing-Diploma

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of marketing roles across different industry sectors which possess a sound theoretical knowledge base and demonstrate a range of managerial skills. Typically they would have responsibility for the work of other staff and lead teams in conducting marketing campaigns.

ENTRY REQUIRMENTS

Academic: Have completed all core units in Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication (BSB42415): BSBCMM401 Make a presentation, BSBCRT401 Articulate, present and debate ideas, BSBMGT407 Apply digital solutions to work processes, BSBMKG417 Apply marketing communication across a convergent industry, BSBMKG418 Develop and apply knowledge of marketing communication industry • Completed Year 12 or overseas equivalent

English: • Minimum score 5.5 or equivalent • English proficiency or intermediate level • Above from any NEAS accredited ELICOS

MODULES

Module 1 - International Markets

In this module students will learn what is required to select and confirm an international market for the promotion of the business. Through research and investigation students will, identify target markets, profile a target audience and develop a positioning strategy taking into consideration overseas media and the cultural characteristics of groups within their target market.

Module 2 – Marketing Mix

In this module students will learn the skills and knowledge required to determine the optimum marketing mix. Students will learn how to vary the mix of customer service, distribution, pricing, or promotion when new marketing opportunities are identified. Students will also learn the skills required to conduct a comprehensive market research project.

Module 3 - Market Action

In this module students will learn the skills and knowledge required to identify, evaluate and research potential new markets and assess opportunities to enter, shape or influence each market. Students will take a creative approach to explore their entrepreneurial spirit for their new potential business opportunity. Students will also apply and observe marketing plan objectives and action necessary improvements.

Module 4 – Project Management

In this module students will be given a real life scenario to learn the skills and knowledge required to undertake a project. The scenario covers developing a project plan, administering, monitoring, finalising and reviewing the project to identify effectiveness and lessons learned. Students will also learn how to manage risks in a range of contexts across an organisation or for a specific business unit or area in any industry setting.
