Description of Facilities at BBC

Premises

BBC occupies 5 floors (Levels 1 to 5) of 333 Kent Street. The college classrooms are centrally air-conditioned and are designed in different ways; as computer labs, as a blended class of computers and group work stations or the traditional lecture style classroom with ‘tablet’ chairs.

The college reception, administration and academic management departments are divided between levels 1 and 3. Administration staff are available from 8.00am to 9.00pm (Monday - Thursday) and from 8.00am to 6.30pm on Friday. Classes run from Monday to Saturday.

Each floor has its own kitchen area, complete with all amenities for student comfort. Level 4 has space for student recreation (Pool Table and Fuseball). There is an open balcony with BBQ facilites.

Staff

Our administrative team numbers over 30 staff plus a further 70 highly experienced trainers, developers and assessors from a variety of professional / academic backgrounds.

Computer Systems

Bridge has deployed over 700 workstations for students. Those workstations are maintained and reconditioned every 12 months.

Wi-Fi

Our Wi-Fi system allows students to log onto the internet with their own laptops.

Online Student Systems

We have developed our own, state of the art, internet based enrolment, scheduling and student record management system. This business platform, called COMS (College Operations Management System) is where students,with their own log-in passwords can look up personal academic progress, payment history and registration for subjects. Students can plan and timetable their study program through this system and communicate with Student Services using ‘chat style’ software.

Scanners / FAX System

BBC has scanning and facsimile scervices, free of charge for student use. There are very few extras to pay for at Bridge.Look at our cost comparison table to get an idea.

Justice of the Peace

Students can have immigration papers authenticated at the College by our Justice of the Peace.
